Carrigtwohill v Dungourney 17th August 2011

This was a great match. We played 12 a side with one rotating sub. The girls showed how much they’ve improved their passing game and ball control since the start of the year. Dungourney were a great team and both sides were equally matched. This made for a nervous two halves with Carrig winning out in the end. Many thanks to Ciara Dixey who refereed the match and again to all the parents who turned up to support us. This really means a lot to the girls and myself.

Players: Alice Bogue, Antiona Cheq, Aoife Cuddigan, Aoife Higgins, Caoimhe Cooney, Ciara Horgan, Ciara Walsh, Kerrie Dorgan, Laura Cottor, Lea Parker, Michaela Horgan, Rachel Barry and Sophie Healy.

It was a beautiful sunny but windy evening down in Youghal. The girls were in flying form. We got off to a slow start but by the end everyone was hearing the “Roar” of the Carrigtwohill U8’s team chant. Again great credit to the girls for never giving up and playing their hearts out. Well done girls. Thanks to all the parents who travelled to support the girls.

Carrigtwohill vs St Fanahans Saturday 30th April 2011

U 10s had only 6 players available, so U8s left us have some of their players.
The match was broken up into four 10 minute games, in which the Carrigtwohill girls were very successful in each quarter.
In the first 10 minutes Michela Horgan (one of our U8s) was in goals and made a great saves. Well done and Happy 7th Birthday Michela. Ciara Horgan (one of our U8s) scored a great goal in the 3rd quarter. All the girls worked very well as a team. It was very palin to be see that their skills had really improved, soloing, handpassing, picking up and hitting of the ball quiet naturally. Brilliant first Match girls. Well done. Thanks to St Fanahans.

The match line up was

Under 10s - Aiseosa, Daisy McCarthy, Grace-Anne Cotter, Katie Cronin, Kayla O Riordan, Magda Kijanka.

Under 8s - Laura Cotter, Ciara Horgan, Clara McCarthy, Michela Horgan.
