Carrigtwohill played in the Imokilly Under 15 League throughout the summer months. They put in an excellent performance, winning 2 matches, losing 1 and drawing 1.  We ended up playing in the Quarter Final against St Catherines.  Unfortunately we were missing players on the night and also had 4/5 players playing with the flu.  The girls must be praised for there great efforts on the night through it all.

Carrigtwohill started the league with a very good team performance against Castlelyons.  The girls showed how much they have come on this year.  Making loads of chances and for once taking them, it shows how dangerous we can be when we put our minds on winning.

We played Dungourney next out and this match had everything from goals, points, missed chances and penalty’s.  Both teams gave their all but Dungourney were that small bit more clinical then us.  I think the girls know the difference between taking your chances and not taking them can make in a tight match. All in all a very good team performance by Carrigtwohill.

Our third match was against St Catherines. This match, you would have paid to see it, the girls were absolutely superb.  Anyone there on the night was not let down.  It was exciting the whole way though,  neither team not giving an inch.  Some cracking goals, super points and excellent camogie on both sides.  A draw was a fair result in the end.  I would consider this the best team performance of the four matches.  Well done to both sets of players and mentors.

The last match played in the league was against Bride Rovers.  Only two days after the St Catherines match.  In fairness to the girls they put in another very good shift and gained the rewards from it.  Bride Rovers were a tough team to win against.  The training and commitment of the girls showed through here, with the Carrigtwohill team winning by 2 goals and 3 points. Well done.
