Championship v Glenville on Thur 7th July 2011 in Glenville.
Carrigtwohill 2-4 Glenville 1-10

From a  pick  of 28 players we headed to Glenville with only a panel of 19 due to injuries and holidays. During the warm up Jason Leahy felt unwell and had to withdraw which was blow to the team. Glenville won the toss and played with wind and hill advantage in the first half and went in at half time  1-7 to 0-1 ahead.

Carrig came out much more determined in the second half  and were rewarded with an early goal from Conor Mc Carthy which was soon followed by a converted penalty from Kevin O'Sullivan. Most of the second half was played in the Glenville half of the pitch and we reduced their lead to 3 points in this half. With a bit more luck from frees we could have taken this game. Well done to all the lads who put in a massive effort especially in the second half and best of luck in the hurling championship.

League v Glenville on Saturday April 23rd 2011
Glenville 3-14 Carrigtwohill 1-13

After a good win over Fr O'Neills (2-12 to 1-9) where we had a panel of 28 togged out we travelled to Glenville on Easter Sat 23rd with a panel of only 18 players (due to injuries and the long weekend) - we were missing five from the starting 15 against Fr O'Neills.

We went in level at half time having missed a few scores. Glenville started the second half much brighter where our lads lost their shape and concentration for 10 mins and Glenville pegged on the scores.. For the last period we regrouped and finished strong and were unlucky not to have 2 goals where the ball skimmed the crossbar and went over for points. Everyone put in a great effort and kept going to the end.

The championship is on July 2/3rd  straight after the exams where we will meet the winners of Glenville / St Finbarr's 2 and with a full panel of players and some training sessions with Marty and Denis we should be up for the challenge and well able to beat either team.

Panel on duty: Shane McCrave, Patrick Ahern, Dylan Scriven, Robert Manley, Cathal O'Sullivan, Padraig Hogan, Ronan Higgins, Kevin O'Sullivan, Jack Barden, Sean Rohan, John Carey, Jason Leahy, Aaron Gosnel, Cian O'Shea, Tomas Creagh, Gary Moriarty, Austin Creagh, Maurice Curtin.
