League v Bishopstown in Bishopstown on Saturday 26th May 2012

Bishopstown 4-9 Carrigtwohill 5-6

We played our third league game in very windy conditions making this a game of two half's. We played with the wind in the first half and it took us a while to get going and we led 3-3 to 1-0 at half time.

We started well in second half but the strong wind made things hard and we coincided a few soft goals and a frees , but we also scored two good goals but we trailed by a point in the last minute but in our last attack of the game we scored the equalizing point to draw the game.
Well done again to all the lads .

League v Blarney in Blarney on Saturday 19th May 2012

Blarney 5-8 Carrigtwohill 6-9

This was our first away match and what a game it was. With some very hurling from both teams in which we led at haft time 3-6 to 2-4.

We started the second half scoring a goal and a point then Blarney came back at us scoring two good goals. Both teams then scored a few points, Blarney then got a penalty in which they scored to draw the match. With a a few minutes to go we scored a point, then in the last minute we got a goal from a 65 that was dropped in to the square to win a great game by 4 points.

Well done to all the boys.

League v Eire Og in Carigtwohill on Monday 14th May 2012

Carrigtwohill 4-11 Eire Og 1-7

This was our first league match of the year. The first half was hard fought in which we led 1-4 to 0-6 at half time.
Our hurling improved a lot in the second half and we finished out the game well with a score line of 4-11 to 1-7.

Well done to all the lads.

Challenge v Douglas in Carrigtwohill on Friday 13th April 2012
Carrigtwohill 4-7 Douglas 3-5

We started off our season with a challenge game against a strong Douglas team. The fact that it was Fri 13th and the rain was falling by the bucket did not stop our lads from turning up in big numbers. Eventhough conditions were bad this game was played at a fast and skillful pace with both teams getting some wonderful scores. This was a team victory as all the panel played their part during the game. Well done to all and we are looking forward to the league which starts shortly.

Championship v Passage on Monday 23rd April 2012
Passage 5-7 Carrigtwohill 3-9

It was the first championship game for a lot of our lads. They put up a great performance in which we were leading at half time. The turning point came half way through the second half when we missed a penalty then they got one and scored then added on few points leaving us having to chase the game and were unlucky not to get a few goals.
Our goalkeeper Hugh O'Neill played brilliant, Levin Cody and Jack Scully & Aaron W Barry played very well in the backs, Brendan Twomey in midfield, Liam Gosnell and Darragh MaCann in the forwards also played well.
Well done to all the ladson a great performance.

Challenge v Nemo Rangers on Tuesday 17th April2012
Carrigtwohill 4-5 Nemo Rangers 5-6

Our under 13 footballers had their first game of the season against Nemo in a challenge. We had a great turn out from the lads and had up to twenty of a panel. It was a wet and windy evening, but this did not stop both teams from playing fast open football. Our lads started slowly but as they started playing as a team they got some very good scores. They were unlucky not to have won this game. They are making great progress and are looking forward to the championship on April 23rd in Passage.
