League v Inniscarra in Inniscarra on Sunday 30th June 2013

We traveled to Inniscarra on what was a hot sunny Sunday morning.  A beautiful day to play a beautiful game.  What a cracker this match turned out to be.  Last time we played in Carrig Inniscarra were well on top during the game. This time Carrig were enjoying the limelight.  It all comes down to teamwork and boy does this Carrig team work well together.  The girls played a blinder. Taking their goals/points well, winning the clashes and fighting for the ball as if their lives depended on it.  The best compliment came from the Inniscarra coach when he asked at the end of the match "was this the same team we played a few weeks ago".  Our skills had improved so much.  It's great to see the girls putting what they learn in training into practice during these matches.  Well done girls we are so proud of you.

League v Cloughduv in Cloughduv on Monday 24th June 2013

It was a hot sunny Monday evening when we traveled to Cloughduv.  Great fun was had finding the pitch but boy were we glad when we did find it.  I reckon the girls must have been feed wheetabix for the breakfast as they were rearing to go from the whistle.  Their skills have improved so much since the start of this league.  They were passing the ball beautifully and working together as a team to clear their lines and get the ball going forward.  A great display of teamwork.  Well done girls.

League v Cloughduv in Carrigtwohill on Saturday 15th June 2013

This game was a real test to the girls. Cloughduv were a very strong strong and skilled team.  Our girls again dug deep and gave them a good run for their money, playing their hearts out. We couldn't have asked for more.  Well done girls.

League v Douglas in Carrigtwohill on Saturday 8th June 2013

It was our turn to host Douglas at home.  As each match is played you can notice the skill level improving with the girls and this was kindly commented on by the Douglas coach who could see the improvement since the last match.  It was a lovely clean game. With both teams eager to get the winning point.  A big thanks again to all the parents for their support and our two refs who did a great job on the evening.

League v Douglas in Douglas on Tuesday 4th June 2013

The sun was shinning on this Tuesday evening when we played our first away match. All the girls gave it their very best with both teams displaying great skill. Well done girls.

League v Inniscarra in Carrigtwohill on Sunday 26th May 2013

It was a crisp Sunday morning when Inniscarra came to play and boy did they play.  It was a game that they dominated from the start.  From a game like this you learn what type of team you have and we as coaches saw the pride in which the girls wear the Carrig jersey as they never gave up right up to the final whistle. Every ball was fought for and chased.  We couldn't have asked for more from them.
Well done girls.

League v Na Piarsaigh in Carrigtwohill on Saturday 18th May 2013

This was our opening match of this years league.  It was a cracking match.  Na Piarsaigh were a strong team.  But the Carrig girls were well matched with them. Great camoige was displayed by both teams throughout the game. Well done everyone!  Thank you to all the parents who supported us on the day and also to our two refs for their time.
