League v Ballygiblin on Sunday 7th April 2013

Carrigtwohill 6-6 Ballygiblin 3-4

Our u14 hurlers played their first league match on Sunday 7th. It was played under extreme weather conditions at the foot of the Galtee Mountains. Our opponents were Ballygiblin. Despite the bad weather both teams played an exceptional hour of hurling. Carrig came out on top at the end but had to fight hard throughout to get the victory. This was a total team victory with great skills on display from all our panel of twenty players. Keep up the good work.

The match played under lights in Carrig's main pitch.  Carrig dominated this game from start to finish and led 6-4 to 0-0 at half time.  Early goals from Carrig killed this game off. Carrig very strong up the middle with Aaron Walsh, Liam Gosling, Brendan Twomey & Daragh Mc Cann all playing very well.  Liam Gosling suffered late knock.

League v Fr O'Neills in Fr O'Neills on Sunday 17th Febraury 2013

Fr O'Neills 7-2 Carrigtwohill 5-7

The first outing of the year had a very good turnout of over twenty players.  The game was played on a windy day, which was bound to affect the scoring.  After a slow start we upped the tempo and led by 3-5 to 2-2 at half time.

We let in four soft goals early in the second which cost us. We rallied and got within one point but we couldn't get the equaliser. A great effort nevertheless.
