Our U6s made history today being the first girls born in 2014 and 2015 to play on the Main Pitch in Carrigtwohill. We welcomed a new girl to the group again today as we warmly welcomed Aghada to the West End. Sinéad Crowley debuted in a refereeing capacity and took charge of the game. Both sides got off to a great start. Both teams were really proud to show off their skills that they had been learning over the last few weeks to their parents. Both teams finished off the match with a long awaited ice lolly and were welcomed and supported at half time by our U14 Camogie team who came earlier then their training start time to wish both sides well. It was an absolutely beautiful gesture by our older girls as we continue to promote the 20x20.ie program within our club - Our U14s flew the flag for us today. Huge thanks to Aghada Camogie Club for a great match and making the journey up to the West End. We hope the girls had as much fun as our U6s did. Quote of the date goes to one of our U6s who ran onto the pitch today and told Janelle that "my dream has come true", when asked what that was she said "I always wanted to play on this pitch". Well today they all did and after all this is their field of dreams.
