Niamh Boland captained our team tonight in what we knew was going to be our toughest opposition of the League. It was a tough night to captain our team as we lost Nicole Horgan during the game to a serious injury which has meant we have lost Nicole from the field of the play for the remainder of this season. That said and against very tough opposition we lost to an extremely strong Castlemartyr side. The words of encouragement afterwards from David Lane hasn’t fallen on deaf ears and we are very much conscious that on the night we closed out our first League season at Junior C in 10 years for the Club. Over the space of a very short 10 or 11 weeks these girls have improved week on week and it was a pleasure for Val and Janelle to coach and mentor them back. Our most important concern was not for the scoreboard but for one of Nicole who gave mentor Janelle a few jobs to do leaving the pitch – first one was to hand over the Bluetooth speaker so the music kept playing…...

Final Score - Lost count but we didn't lose on team spirit and our thoughts are with Nicole for her recovery. Match photos here
