Welcome to the Carrigtwohill Juvenile GAA Club webpage.
Here in Carrigtwohill, we promote and play the outdoor games of Gaelic Football and Hurling for all age groups from U6 to U17.
We offer coaching and games for children in a fun, supportive and safe environment where new players are always welcome.
Inclusion at all levels from playing to non-playing members is key to the operation of the Carrigtwohill Juvenile club. We want members to feel valued as we strive to become a place where we enrich the community around us.
Access to the 3no. GAA pitches ideally located in the heart of the Carrigtwohill at Westend, as well as the Community Astro Turf pitch helps us to provide the younger generations within our community the chance to take part in and enjoy our national sports.
We currently have a Juvenile membership of approx. 355 players along with 64 coaches who volunteer their time to help our club run successfully. As the population of the Carrigtwohill and surrounding areas has grown steadily over the past decade, so too has the attendance at Carrigtwohills 3no. Primary Schools Scoil Chliodhna, Scoil Chlocaire Mhuire and Scoil Muire Naofa which is in turn leading to an increase in attendance at our facilities as well as those attending schools outside of the Carrigtwohill area. As the population is forecasted to grow over the coming decade it is an exciting time for our club in Carrigtwohill as we prepare for the challenges that lie ahead.
We would encourage all members to become involved in the daily activities of the club in which we strive to build a community and family atmosphere.
We are always looking for new people to get involved as coaches and We provide all the support you will need to get you up and running, even if you have never played a game of football or hurling before, as is the case for many of our coaches. Coaching your child’s team is a great way to bond and spend fun time with them.
If coaching isn't your thing, there are plenty other ways to get involved such as helping out with the Healthy Clubs Project where the aim of the project is to promote healthy living in the clubs themselves but also in the wider community of the Carrigtwohill parish, helping with fundraising, teas/coffees etc. on the days of events.
Please get in touch if you can help out in any way.
