Carrigtwohill Camogie Club are absolutely thrilled to announce that Lorraine O'Connell has been awarded the prestigious award of our Camogie Associations Cork Volunteer of the Year 2020.
To celebrate what Lorraine has achieved for our Club and the effort that she makes within our Community as a volunteer is seen by all, you don't need us to reemphasise it. But when you consider that Lorraine has done all of this work as a volunteer within our Club, Community and Division over many years whilst her children were still very young is amazing. It was a huge task and she did it unselfishly on so many occasions to support and help others.
For anyone that knows Lorraine, you will know her door is always open and the kettle is always on. For her to receive this recognition at not only a Cork County Board level but an Association level just goes to show how far and wide Lorraine's efforts have been seen and recognised.
Please join us in congratulating Lorraine on this superb honour. She will receive her award virtually on February 20th and will be streamed on Facebook so we might try and host an award night where as a club and community we can all join online via Teams and congratulate Lorraine.
