Our first Round saw us drawn against Youghal with home advantage. Always strong and quick off the mark, the first half was a battle from the start and saw us 4 points down at half time. However the girls came in at half time determined to turn it around. With sheer determination and hard work, Carrigtwohill brought it back and inched ahead with a score of 2:3 to 1:6 with only 5 minutes to go. From then on our girls would not let Youghal get down to their end and a free from play, calmly taken by Michaela Horgan in the dying minutes, saw Carrigtwohill just get ahead of Youghal in a nail biting finish.

Final Score Carrigtwohill 2:4 (10) to Cobh 1:6 (9).
