U16A Championship Match Report

Castlemartyr -v- Carrigtwohill

Our next round was did not go our way. A very organised Castlemartyr side with a dominant midfield brought us many problems. A heavy fall in the 9^th minute saw Ciara Walsh being led off with a nasty elbow injury which needed hospital attention, ruling her out for the rest of the match. Another blow came in the 1^st half with Holly going over on her ankle which was just recovered from a sprain injury taken on during the Summer. This resulted in us scrambling changes in our layout but it didn’t go our way with the opposition taking advantage and bringing it home for a win, despite our girls battling to the end, as is their style.
