On a pleasant afternoon, we entertained Erins Own. With Captain Katie Walsh playing in goal and introducing new players Megan Desmond to the back line with Mia and Lily McAuliffe. We started a goal down. But with Holly and Orla settling into a real midfield battle with the Erin owns midfield, we soon got some great scores from Lily O'Connell and setting up Ria for a real no.14 goal scores. Half time came to soon with Sarah getting stuck in with Faye at half forward. The second half started much the same as it ended the 1st with Emma Barry setting Lily up before she fired in another goal. Violet was on at this stage and was unlucky after great effort fighting for the ball in the corner. But alas our half back line was now coming under enormous pressure with Hailey Emma and Claire fighting for every inch. We introduced Emily with Julie. With time running out and the girls fighting with all their might, the last 2 pucks of the game swung in favour of Erin's Own who never gave up all day.
On days like this it was hard to get all the girls game time but not one of the girls to their credit moaned. The ice creams helped!! We want to send a huge get well soon to Miss Kasi Rice.
