MTU Cork Campus, the new name for CIT, qualified from Group C in this year’s Fitzgibbon Cup after a 6-point win against Trinity College and a 2-point loss to GMIT.

Carrig’s Brendan Twomey and James Mulcahy started both games with Mulcahy bagging a point against Trinity from corner-forward at Santry Avenue and Twomey pointed against visitors GMIT from midfield.

The win against Trinity sees MTU qualify in 2^nd place from Group C and a tie against UL next Tuesday, February 8^th at 7pm in the UL grounds.
