Carrig were just edged in a tightly-fought contest on St. Patrick’s morning. Carrig and Lisgoold were evenly-matched throughout with both sides level at 0-7 apiece at the half.

A depleted Carrig squad, with just 18 players available, eventually fell to a 1-point defeat but had a couple of late chances to snatch a deserved draw.

Liam O’Sullivan, Pat O’Sullivan and Seamus Roche kicked some good scores for Carrig and Tommy Mullaney made a couple of fine saves down the other end.

Carrig now have 1 win from their opening 2 league games after an impressive 3-10 to 0-10 win over Youghal in Round 1.
