Senior Hurling League Round 3

Carrigtwohill 1-8 Sars 3-20 in Riverstown on Saturday, April 9^th at 4pm

Having opened the league campaign with 2 wins, Carrig came back down to earth against a strong Sars team on a sunny afternoon in Riverstown.

Padraic Hogan opened the scoring but Sars took a firm hold of proceedings from there. Carrig worked hard however and got their reward just before half time when Liam Gosnell robbed the last defender and James Mulcahy scooped home to keep Carrig just about in touch at the break. Both sides were wasteful in their shooting in the opening half but Sars were more clinical in the second.

Substitute Sean Rohan added only Carrig’s second point from play after the restart and it was very much damage limitation mode as Carrig continued to work until the final whistle.

Carrig will meet St. Finbarrs in the next round of the league on Thursday, April 21^st.
