Carrig started brightly in this match and led by five points at half time on a scoreline of 1-08 to 1-03, with the goal coming from the boot of Mairtín Neylon.  The advice to the players at half-time was that they would need to tighten things up, as Lisgoold would have the wind advantage in the second half.

Lisgoold did improve with the second half wind advantage, scoring three goals. . Carrigtwohill found it more difficult to score in that half, adding just another four points to their tally.
