The Carrigtwohill GAA Healthy Club's second Darkness Into Light event attracted a gathering of an estimated 300 people to the GAA Club this morning.

We would like to sincerely thank Carrigtwohill Community College students, Victor Oblejesi, Alex O'Driscoll and Edan Leahy who entertained the assembled walkers with some live music.  Míle buíochas to Denis O'Connor (Ballyvodock) who very kindly provided his curtain-sider truck as a stage for the event.  A big thank you to Shane Ryan, chairperson of Carrig Aware, who represented the local voluntary organisation.

Club vice-chairperson, Anthony Barry welcomed everybody and implored people to seek help in order to prevent suicide.  Anthony emphasised that there is help available in the community. He encouraged everybody to walk and talk.
