Best of Luck to Junior C Hurlers in East Cork Final
Best of Luck to Junior C Hurlers in East Cork Final
October 12, 2023
The junior C hurling team will make the short journey to Caherlag this coming Saturday to line out against Carraig na bhFear in the East Cork final.
The team has put in some fine performances in the championship to date, winning four out of five games. In the round-robin section of the competition, Carrig started with a comprehensive 3-19 to 1-11 win against Saturday’s host club, Erin’s Own. They lost their second match to a very strong Carraig na bhFear side, 4-07 to 4-23. The team bounced back against Father O’Neill’s, with a strong final quarter to take the spoils on a scoreline of 4-14 to 4-08. In the quarter-final, Carrig put in a super hour’s hurling to beat Killeagh by two points, 2-12 to 1-13. They followed this up with another fine display against Midleton in the semi-final, winning by a goal (3-16 to 2-16).
It’s important that we get a big support in Caherlag on Saturday afternoon. The forecast is good and the journey is short. Please come along and shout on the team on Saturday.
We wish the entire panel and management team of Peter Hogan (manager), Kieran Horgan and Jim O’Connor the very best of luck on Saturday. Go n-éirí an t-ádh leo.
Please note that tickets can only be purchased at the gate for cash!
