New Clubhouse Being Used in the Community
New Clubhouse Being Used in the Community
March 01, 2021
With our state-of-the art new clubhouse development unfortunately still not open to our members and the public during the pandemic we wanted to make our members aware of some of the initiatives that Carrigtwohill GAA have been taking to help our members and our community with the building.
At the beginning of the school year Scoil Cliodhna needed more classroom space to accommodate another large intake of students. When Scoil Cliodhna reached out we were delighted to facilitate 2 classrooms in our large hall upstairs and a smaller class in our meeting rooms. This setup worked very well with Scoil Cliodhna's teachers and students able to teach and learn close to the main school buidling. As a club we were very pleased to help out the school, its staff and students. We have also made a number of changes to the club grounds to ensure greater safety for pedestrians when walking through the pitch and car park.
Carrigtwohill GAA has also offered our clubhouse as a potential vaccination centre to the HSE ahead of the rollout of vaccines in our communities and we would be more than happy to facilitate this on behalf of the people of Carrigtwohill.
