Carrig were in control of this game from the throw-in and played some good hurling on a nice summer evening at West End.
The home team led by 0-7 to 0-2 at the first water break with scores from a range of distances from six players; a point apiece from Peadar Downey, Seán de Búrca, Shane Healy, Dáire Crotty and Dáire Sullivan with a brace of frees from Luke Kelly O’Regan. Carrig kicked on after the water break to open up a ten point gap (0-13 to 0-3) at half-time, with Kelly O’Regan (0-2 f), Healy (0-2), Downey (0-1) and Crotty (0-1) adding to their total.
Carrigtwohill continued to widen their lead in the second half with a goal from Dylan Scriven and points from Luke Kelly O’Regan (three), Dáire Crotty (three), Eamon Fitzgerald (one), Peadar Downey (one) and Alex Kidney (one).
Well done to the players and their coaches on a solid performance.
